The following is a collection of EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) collected by members of the Delaware City Ghost Hunters while on investigations. It is recommended that you wear headphones while listening to each to be able to hear more clearly what is being said.

One of our investigators is attempting to make contact with Enos Joseph, a man who committed suicide in the Sterling Tavern in 1910. When the investigator asks him to confirm his age at the time of his death, what was heard was a response of "Yes, thank you."

One of our investigators is trying to communicate with the spirit of a young boy named Jo Jo. She is asking Jo Jo if he ever drowned in a pond and if he had brother that drowned. She then asks if he had a sister that drowned in a pond. You then will hear what appears to be a faint reply of "No."

When an investigator walks into the kitchen of this home, you can hear his boots on the floor. You then hear the spirit of the home say “Boots. Dirty.” And then while another investigator is at the table trying to find out why a piece of equipment failed the spirit continues with “Can we toss it?”

One of our investigators mentions to a spirit named Terry who is alleged to haunt this location that she brought a bag with her with toys in it. You then hear what appears to be a young boy's voice say "toys."

One of our investigators is asking a Native American spirit at this location if their name was Green Meadow. What is heard immediately after is a response of "No."

One of our investigators mentioned to any spirits that may have wanted to talk to us that all they had to was light the lights up on our K2 meter and that it was not that hard. She promised them that it was not a trick. Immediately afterward, you'll hear the response, “Oh, okay.”

One of our investigators made a comment on how she and another investigator saw an upstairs bathroom which said “Sergeant” on the door. She then asks another investigator if that was what was written on the door: Lieutenant or Sergeant. Immediately after she asked this question, ypu'll hear what sounds like a really deep man’s voice which replied, “Mm hmm.”

One of our investigators another investigator if the word “bible” came up the Ovilus that was being used during this EVP session. The other investigator then replied, “mmm hmm,” to confirm that it did in fact come up on the device. Immediately afterward, you'll hear what sounds like someone whisper very faintly “Can’t they see this one?”

During an EVP session in a back bedroom, one of our investigators was using a Spirit Box which scans radio frequencies to create "white noise" which is believed to provide a medium through which spirits can communicate. She had asked if the spirit protects the homeowner. You'll then hear the word “Energy” which came through on her Spirit Box.

One of our investigators mentioned that the last time we were at this location that one of the spirits mentioned that we didn’t see the bible in the room. She said that we did see the bible in the room and asked if it was the spirit’s bible. You then hear what sounds like a faint “No” in response to her question. A few seconds after this was captured, a voice which said what sounded like “Bible” came through on the Spirit Box.

One of our investigators asked a spirit what they were scared of. You'll then hear what sounds like “It’s quiet” in response to her question. She then mentions that we were not there to hurt the spirits.
